Job description

Role: Xstore/POS developer

Location: Nashville, TN

Employement type: Fulltime

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Retail Xstore Developer with 8–12 years of retail technology experience and strong expertise in Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service (POS) development, customization, integration, and support. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable retail POS solutions and support store operations.    

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, customize, and maintain Oracle Retail Xstore applications.    
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.    
  • Develop and enhance POS functionalities, workflows, and user interfaces.    
  • Implement integrations between Xstore and retail systems such as:     Payment gateways     Loyalty platforms     Inventory and merchandising systems     Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and application defects.    
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.    
  • Support POS deployments, upgrades, patches, and rollout activities.    
  • Create technical design documents, unit test cases, and deployment documentation.    
  • Collaborate with QA teams for testing and defect resolution.    
  • Provide L3 support for critical production incidents.    

Required Skills    

  • 8–12 years of software development experience with at least 5+ years in Oracle Retail Xstore POS.    
  • Strong experience in:     Oracle Retail Xstore Office and Xstore POS     Java/J2EE     Spring Framework     XML, XSD     Web Services (SOAP/REST)    
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Retail integrations and customizations.    
  • Strong knowledge of retail POS transaction lifecycle and store operations.    
  • Experience with:     Oracle Database     SQL and PL/SQL     Linux/Unix environments     Git, SVN, or similar version control tools    
  • Understanding of payment processing, promotions, returns, exchanges, omnichannel fulfillment, and loyalty programs.    
  • Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and production support.    
  • Preferred Skills     Experience with Oracle Retail applications such as RMS, ReSA, RPM, SIM, and Xcenter.    
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure).     Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.    
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.    
  • Retail domain experience in grocery, fashion, specialty retail, or omnichannel retail.    

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, trainic licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The salary range displays the minimum and maximum targets for this position across all US locations and has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, or variable bonus programs. Final compensation decisions will depend on the unique facts and circumstances of each candidate.
