Job description

Responsible for preparing documentation for all loan products including but not limited to consumer non-real estate, consumer real estate, small business, and commercial.

Has a thorough understanding of requirements for each individual loan type.  Works under minimal supervision with supporting commercial and retail teams to produce quality loan documentation that meets standard requirements for bank safety and soundness as well as State regulated requirements.  Has a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and legal requirements for Oklahoma. 

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Listed are the current primary responsibilities for the position. This is not to be considered an all-inclusive list. Responsibilities are subject to change based on need for workflow and efficiency.

  • Represents the bank in a positive, courteous, friendly, and professional manner at all times, including telephone, email and other methods of communicating.
  • Order real estate appraisals, flood determinations, and title work for both consumer and commercial purpose properties as requested or required by loan policy.
  • Prepares general correspondence and all types of commercial, real estate, and consumer loan documents.
  • Review credit documentation and approvals to ensure loan documents are prepared in accordance with approval and policy in an effort to maintain the bank’s safety and soundness.
  • Utilizes LaserPro loan documentation system to create commercial, real estate, and consumer loan promissory notes, loan agreements and all other types of documentation.
  • Utilizes Fi-Serve core system to book new loans and renewals.
  • Perform maintenance to loans in Fi-Serve as needed.
  • Processes lien entries, UCC-1 forms, UCC continuations, certified mailing of titles, determining filing location, and mailing real property documents to appropriate county/state.
  • Monitor and clear outstanding document exceptions.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by Management.
  • Provides support to loan officers and assistants.
  • Index documents to the bank’s imaging system as needed.
  • Payment of third party invoices related to loan transactions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in document preparation or loan operations preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field may be substituted 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related business or financial field preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS, ABILITIES, CHARACTERISTICS):

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong time-management skills.
  • Proficient typing and computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • Proficient in LaserPro, and FiServe and Bank Manager
  • Ability to read, comprehend and evaluate detailed and complex loan documents.
  • Thorough understanding and familiarity of the bank’s loan policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently to resolve problems and complete complex loan transactions.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory and legal issues encountered in the completion and closing of complex commercial, real estate, and consumer loans.
  • Thorough knowledge of title policies, UCC guidelines, lien filing and mortgage/deed of trust filing.
  • Has a full understanding of consumer regulations including, but not limited to, Reg B, Reg C, Flood, TRID, and RESPA.
