We are currently seeking a Small Business Loans Operations Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of the credit union’s small business loan portfolio by preparing and reviewing loan documentation, servicing Small Business Administration (SBA) and conventional small business credit products. You will also be working closely with Small Business Relationship Managers, credit staff, and other internal teams to uphold operational accuracy and regulatory compliance throughout the lending process.

What you'll do: 

  • Prepare and review small business and SBA loan documentation using LaserPro to generate compliant loan packages, closing documents, and required SBA forms. Ensure
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and completeness in alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements using LaserPro.

  • Maintain and monitor small business portfolio for accurate collateral, insurance, tax, and account data for small business loans, ensuring all servicing actions, payment postings, advances, and payoffs are processed correctly through XP2 and loan origination system (LOS).

What you'll need:

  • Three to five years of similar or related experience
  • Associates degree, two year college degree or equivalent

Key Skills and Experience: 

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc. Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department. Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.

  • Knowledge of SBA lending (7(a) and 504 programs), including proper closing document requirements. Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.
