Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut steel, aluminum, and other materials according to production requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
  • Set up machines, load and unload materials, and make minor program or offset adjustments as needed.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor operating issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules.
  • Assist in other fabrication or production areas as needed.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous CNC laser cutting experience preferred (manufacturing experience required).
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts (or willingness to be trained).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and dust.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CNC laser cutting equipment (Bystronic, Trumpf, Mazak, Mitsubishi, or similar).
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Understanding of quality control standards.
  • Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
