Prospect Mold and Die is growing and expanding and is looking to add a DAY SHIFT PCMM Inspection Operator to our talented workforce.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Inspection Personnel is responsible for the measuring and reporting of jobs which are in need of inspection. Also the Inspection Personnel are responsible for the calibration of Prospect owned and personally owned hand tools.


DUTIES:


  • Operate the PCMM (FARO arm) efficiently.
  • Utilize all resources available to produce the best inspection reports possible in the shortest amount of time.
  • Review the Manufacturing Schedule for the estimated amount of inspection time allotted and attempt to stay below those hours for that specific job.
  • Work with the Large Machine Supervisor and the CMS Manager to keep work flowing through the department by informing the CMS Manager of estimated completion times so the next job can be scheduled correctly.
  • Stay in tune with all ISO and or AS requirements for the area’s you are working in keeping the CMS Manager informed of any additional training you may need.
  • Perform the calibration on all hand tools Prospect owned and employee owned per the Prospect Mold Manual.
  • Keep work area and machines clean and clutter free.

PREFERABLE CHARACTERISTICS:


  • Self motivated to get projects started on your own.
  • Basic Machining Skills and Manufacturing understanding.
  • Computer experience needed.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment, interpersonal skills.
  • Must communicate well with customers.
  • Must be willing to work the hours needed to complete job on time.
  • Experience with Faro Arm Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine
    Applicant must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
