About the Role
The Marketing Chief of Staff (Senior Director of Marketing Operations) is responsible for building and leading the operational foundation of Milan's Marketing organization. Partnering closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and senior leadership team, you'll create the operating rhythms, planning processes, and cross-functional alignment that enable marketing initiatives to move from strategy to execution with clarity and accountability.
From launching major cross-functional initiatives and managing marketing roadmaps to improving processes, leading teams, and preparing executive-level presentations, you'll play a key role in helping Milan's marketing organization scale while delivering exceptional work across more than 400 clinic locations. This role is ideal for a strategic operator who enjoys solving complex business challenges, influencing across teams, and building systems that drive long-term success.

What You'll Do
  • Marketing Operations & Strategic Planning
    • Design and continuously improve the operating model that connects marketing strategy to execution across campaigns, product launches, creative initiatives, and cross-functional programs
    • Establish planning rhythms, prioritization frameworks, and governance that help teams stay aligned and deliver consistently
    • Build and manage a unified marketing roadmap, balancing priorities and adapting as business needs evolve
  • Executive Partnership & Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Partner closely with the CMO to translate strategic priorities into coordinated execution across the marketing organization
    • Lead marketing leadership team operations, including planning meetings, off-sites, and follow-through on key initiatives
    • Align stakeholders, clarify decision-making, and drive accountability across cross-functional teams
  • Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
    • Build, lead, and develop the Marketing Operations team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
    • Partner with Finance and FP&A to oversee budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and investment governance
    • Continuously evaluate and improve how the marketing organization plans, communicates, and executes work
  • Performance & Executive Readiness
    • Partner with analytics and marketing leaders to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and improve operational effectiveness
    • Develop executive presentations, growth updates, and strategic narratives for senior leadership and key stakeholders
    • Ensure marketing teams have clear, data-backed insights and recommendations to support business decisions

What We're Looking For
  • 12+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing strategy, business operations, or a related leadership role within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Proven experience building scalable operational systems, processes, and planning frameworks
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across complex initiatives
  • Experience partnering with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience preparing executive-level presentations and strategic updates
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and operational detail
  • Experience with collaborative project management platforms such as Asana or Jira is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required; PMP certification or equivalent is a plus
