Job description

Job Title: Laser Operator
Location: Turtle Creek, PA
Type: Contingency
Compensation: $40,000 - $49,920.00
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40.0
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate laser cutting machine.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
  • Adjust machine settings to optimize cutting quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser equipment.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, using measuring tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Collaborate with production teams to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of machine setup and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal types, gauges, and properties.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with machine programming.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
