Ford Office Technologies is growing, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair wide format printing equipment at customer locations. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. 

  • Install, configure, and calibrate wide format printers, cutters, and finishing equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
  • Train customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Document service calls, parts usage, and resolutions accurately.
  • Maintain service vehicle inventory and tools.
  • Travel to customer sites within assigned territory. 
  • Ensure timely response to service calls within assigned territory.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience servicing wide format printing equipment preferred (will train if needed). 
  • Knowledge of large format finishing equipment preferred (laminators, cutters). 
  • Strong understanding of electronics, mechanical systems, and computer networking.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based systems and RIP software.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurability. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various on-site environments. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Manufacturer certifications (preferred but not required).
