Graphic Designer
Reports to: Chief Branding Officer
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Marketing
Location: 5210 S Priest Dr., Guadalupe, AZ 85283 (Tempe)
Pay Range: $20-22 per hour
Position Summary:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality visual materials that support Mint Cannabis's brand, marketing initiatives, and retail operations. This position plays a critical role in creating compliant, visually compelling, and on-brand designs across a variety of formats, including print, packaging, large-format signage, digital graphics, and photo/video assets.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, typeset, and lay out artwork using Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere.
  • Develop creative concepts from briefs and bring them through to finalized, production-ready artwork.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and the Creative Director to ensure alignment with brand standards and marketing goals.
  • Create assets for packaging, retail displays, digital campaigns, laser engraving, and promotional materials.
  • Revise and refine creative based on stakeholder feedback, ensuring all versions meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Maintain organized project files and asset libraries for efficiency and consistency.
  • Manage multiple projects with varying timelines and priorities.
  • Utilize project management software (e.g., Asana or equivalent) to track progress and meet deadlines.
  • Support photo and video shoots as needed, including editing and basic content preparation.
  • Perform general office or departmental duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state-issued Facility Agent Card (if applicable).

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere or video/photo editing.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS or motion graphics.
  • Experience designing for cannabis, retail, or consumer goods industries.
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management tools.

Education and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a computer workstation.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating computers and related equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based creative environment in Tempe, AZ.
  • May involve exposure to cannabis plant material and related odors.
