Location: Wyckoff NJ

Are you passionate about animal care and looking for an exciting opportunity to grow in the veterinary field? We’re excited to announce the opening of our brand new, state-of-the-art small animal veterinary hospital, and we’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our team from the ground up!

About Us: Wyckoff Veterinary Hospital is a newly established veterinary hospital committed to providing the highest quality care for small animals in a employee friendly environment. As part of our core team, you’ll be involved in shaping the foundation of our practice while working in a collaborative, supportive, and dynamic environment.

Position: Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Technician
Full-Time / Part-Time Available

Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies
  • Provide compassionate care to animals, including restraining for exams and treatments
  • Monitor patients under anesthesia and assist with surgical prep
  • Administer medications as prescribed
  • Perform lab tests and assist with diagnostic procedures
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Provide excellent client communication and education
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is welcome, but not required
  • Strong passion for animal care and well-being
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle animals safely
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • High school diploma or equivalent; veterinary technician certification a plus
