What is a Laravel React JS developer?

Laravel React JS developers are professionals skilled in using both Laravel, a popular PHP backend framework, and React JS, a leading JavaScript library for building user interfaces. These developers typically build full-stack web applications, with Laravel handling server-side logic, APIs, and database management, while React JS manages the dynamic, interactive frontend. Combining these technologies allows for efficient, scalable, and modern web applications. Laravel React JS developers are in demand for their ability to deliver robust, end-to-end solutions.

How do Laravel React JS developers typically collaborate with backend and frontend teams in a project?

Laravel React Js developers often serve as a bridge between backend and frontend teams, working closely with both to ensure seamless integration between the application's server-side logic (Laravel) and client-side experience (React Js). They participate in regular team meetings, use version control systems like Git for smooth code collaboration, and communicate frequently to resolve API or data flow issues. This collaborative environment helps ensure that the final product is robust, scalable, and user-friendly. Familiarity with agile methodologies and clear communication skills are especially valuable in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Laravel React JS developer, and why are they important?

To excel as a Laravel React JS Developer, you need strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, React.js, and a solid understanding of web development principles, often supported by a relevant degree or certifications. Familiarity with tools such as Git, RESTful APIs, Composer, Node.js, and development environments like VS Code is typically required. Problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills that help in collaborating with teams and delivering high-quality software. These skills ensure efficient development of scalable, maintainable web applications that meet client and business requirements.

Job description

About PactFi

Private asset markets (PE, Private Credit, VC, Real Estate) have 10x to 9.8T in AUM over the past decade and are projected to grow to $17T in the next five years. However, digital infrastructure has not kept pace, with most of the market operating predominantly in error-prone, internal-only software solutions.

PactFi provides secure, end-to-end, operational infrastructure for managing complex private credit transactions. Our web-based application brings together all parties involved in such a transaction to more efficiently allocate capital, complete KYC, share documents, manage funds flow, and more. The platform is secured to a bank-grade standard, and we have received our SOC 2 Type 2 attestation.

PactFi was developed in close partnership with two of the industry's largest players, both of whom represent the top 3 players in the private credit space by both size (AUM) and deal activity.

PactFi is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build and ship features across our platform. You'll work primarily in our Laravel codebase, with regular front-end work in Vue.js, on products that move real money for our partners and their clients.

This is a hands-on role for an engineer with a couple of years under their belt who wants to grow quickly. You'll own features end to end with support from senior engineers, and you'll get direct exposure to product, QA, and engineering leadership rather than working from a ticket queue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and ship features in our Laravel application, from database schema through API endpoints to the Vue.js interface.
  • Write clean, tested, well-documented code and participate actively in code review.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs and internal services, handling errors, retries, and edge cases thoughtfully.
  • Work with Product Managers and QA to clarify requirements, break down work, and get features to production.
  • Debug and resolve issues across the stack, including performance and data-integrity problems.
  • Contribute to improving our tooling, tests, and development workflow.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of professional software development experience.
  • Working experience with Laravel (or another modern MVC framework, with genuine interest in Laravel).
  • Solid PHP fundamentals and comfort with object-oriented design.
  • Front-end experience with Vue.js, React, or similar, plus solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Practical SQL skills and experience designing and querying relational databases (MySQL or similar).
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows and code review.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and a willingness to ask questions early.
Nice to Have
  • Experience writing automated tests (Playwright, or similar).
  • Exposure to AWS or another cloud platform.
  • Experience with queues, background jobs, or event-driven workflows.
  • Interest in fintech, financial services, or regulated environments.
  • Any hands-on experience with LLM APIs or AI-assisted features.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary + equity.
  • Healthcare coverage.
  • 401k
