What is a Prisma React JS developer?

A Prisma React JS developer is a software engineer who specializes in building web applications using React.js for the frontend and Prisma as an ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) tool to interact with databases on the backend. These developers utilize React to create dynamic user interfaces and Prisma to manage and query data efficiently. Their role often involves integrating APIs, ensuring data consistency, and optimizing the overall performance of web applications. This combination enables rapid development of robust, scalable, and maintainable full-stack applications.

How does a Prisma React JS developer typically collaborate with backend and frontend teams on a project?

As a Prisma React JS developer, you often act as a bridge between backend and frontend teams. You'll work closely with backend developers to design and optimize database schemas using Prisma, ensuring data consistency and performance. On the frontend, you'll build responsive React components that consume APIs efficiently, often coordinating with designers and UX specialists. Regular stand-ups, code reviews, and collaboration through version control systems like Git are common practices to maintain smooth workflow and clear communication across teams.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Prisma React JS Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Prisma React JS Developer, you need strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, expertise in React for front-end development, and experience with Prisma ORM and database management. Familiarity with technical tools like Git, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and cloud platforms, as well as knowledge of SQL databases, is typically required. Problem-solving, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within agile teams are standout soft skills. These skills ensure efficient, scalable, and maintainable full-stack applications, enabling seamless collaboration and rapid delivery in modern web development environments.

Job description

Job Summary:
AI Fund is an AI-native company transforming unstructured and dark data into trusted, structured, auditable data. They are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to architect, develop, and maintain modern web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that address customer needs.
Responsibilities:
• Be a driving force for the team's agentic coding practice - establishing patterns for spec-driven development, context engineering, and multi-agent orchestration that compound team output.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend/ML engineers to deliver solutions that solve real customer problems.
• Architect, develop, and maintain modern, responsive web applications using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Implement pixel-perfect, accessible UI components leveraging Tailwind CSS, ShadCN, or other modern styling frameworks.
• Ensure frontend performance, scalability, and reliability, optimizing for low latency and a seamless user experience.
• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of frontend systems.
• Mentor and guide engineers, setting best practices for UI development, code quality, and technical direction.
• Contribute to developer experience, working with backend teams to design intuitive APIs and ensure smooth integration across the stack.
• Stay ahead of trends in frontend engineering and bring fresh ideas to elevate user experience and productivity.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Fluency with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex or equivalent). Experience writing effective specs, managing repo context, and reviewing/verifying agent output.
• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development with a strong focus on React.js and Next.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6+ features.
• Strong product sense and customer empathy. Comfortable making judgment calls on scope, UX tradeoffs, and what's worth building without waiting for a spec.
• Deep experience with modern UI frameworks (Tailwind CSS, ShadCN, or similar).
• Solid understanding of web application architecture and frontend–backend interactions.
• Proven track record of leading frontend projects, from early prototypes to production systems.
• Strong collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team-wide technical direction.
Preferred:
• Experience with databases (e.g., Postgres) and ORMs (Prisma.js, Sequelize.js).
• Exposure to computer vision, LLMs, or multimodal AI applications.
• Experience building developer-facing products (e.g., SDKs, dashboards, APIs).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience simplifying user experiences for complex, enterprise-facing software.
