Description
The Solutions Architect designs end-to-end technology solutions by integrating web applications, data systems, and services to meet business and organizational needs. Ensures scalability, security, and alignment with strategic goals.
Please note that remote or hybrid work is not available, and this is an on-campus position.
Job Duties
Essential Functions
  • Develop comprehensive integration solutions for complex ERP, SaaS, and web application interactions.
  • Oversee design, development, and lifecycle of key web applications-identifying legacy code to retire, planning framework migrations, and recommending SaaS where appropriate.
  • Gather and validate complex business and technical requirements; translate them into maintainable solutions.
  • Lead large-scale, enterprise-level system implementations-defining strategy, coordinating cross-team efforts, and ensuring solutions meet expectations.

Additional Duties
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to solutions engineers and developers.
  • Review and approve solution designs and code implementations.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Oversee team documentation, ensuring all notes are comprehensive, well-organized, and current.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Expertise in backend programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, PHP, JavaScript server-side, Scala, etc.).
  • Expertise with frontend technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript client-side, etc.).
  • Expertise in SQL databases and procedural languages (e.g. SQL, PL/SQL, etc.).
  • Experience writing shell scripts (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-level integration and application solutions.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs and middleware platforms.
  • Proficiency with Git branching strategies and version-control best practices.
  • Experience developing and deploying containerized applications.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated mentorship and team-building experience.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to independently move across campus as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proficiency with web development frameworks (e.g. Django, Laravel, etc.).
  • Proficiency with frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.).
  • Experience implementing DevOps strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
