Job description

SUMMARY

Work with a team of fellow maintenance associates completing basic repair and maintenance of the resort. General upkeep and preventative maintenance in all areas of Margaritaville at Lanier Islands including but not limited to, The Water Park at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands, Snow Island at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands, Camp Margaritaville RV Resort property and facilities, Harbor Landing Marina, and Port of Indecision Marina. LandShark Bar & Grill and LandShark Landing Area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Make basic repair to guest amenities, facilities and other resort related equipment.
  • Work with a team of maintenance associates to complete basic repairs and maintenance of the resort
  • Assist with general upkeep and preventative maintenance in all areas of Margaritaville at Lanier Islands, including but not limited to:
  • Fins Up Water Park
  • Snow Island
  • Camp Margaritaville RV Resort property and facilities
  • Harbor Landing Marina
  • Port of Indecision Marina
  • LandShark Bar & Grill
  • LandShark Landing Area
  • Perform routine inspections of the resort and its facilities to identify any potential issues
  • Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff
  • Assists in the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Follow all local, state, and federal safety regulations and guidelines
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  • Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and organized
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean MVR for 3 years.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. General knowledge of hand tools and their usage.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must have valid Drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle Report
