Role Description

We would like to add an experienced Project Manager to our team to work within the established culture and guidelines of the Company at our Office in San Francisco. Qualified candidates will have extensive Bay Area business knowledge and experience, as well as strong communication and IT skills, demonstrated leadership and at least 3 years of prior experience managing challenging projects.


Position Title: Project Manager

Reports To: Operations Manager

Status: Exempt

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Required Experience: 3+ years

Salary Range: $120,000 to 150,000+


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Participate in pre-construction activities as needed
  • Act as liaison with the client, architect, consultants, and inspectors
  • Interface with site supervisors; look for and implement innovative construction methods
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules
  • Prepare project documentsโ€“ client change orders, subcontracts, subcontractor change orders, meeting minutes, letters, memorandums, notices, etc.
  • Provide assistance coordinating with onsite contractors in planning and coordinating the stages of connecting new systems with existing utility systems
  • Control and monitor subcontractors and monitor their performance
  • Manage cost changes, track legitimate change orders requests, compile fair pricing for work and forecast financial results accurately
  • Review and expedite submittals and materials
  • Monitor critical material items and deliveries
  • Maintain quality control and production efficiency
  • Maintain immediate and direct responsibility for production phases of the project; resolve production problems
  • Oversee that jobsite safety procedures are being followed
  • Provide feedback on production costs to the Estimating Department

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor college degree, in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is required
  • Minimum of 3 years construction-related experience is required overseeing projects valuing $3M to $10M
  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge and experience with the following software and programs is required:
  • MS Project for project scheduling
  • Procore for Construction Management
  • MS Office proficiency
  • On-Screen Takeoff - construction estimating and takeoff solutions for contractors
  • Precision - estimating software where we put all our estimate line items
  • Microsoft 365 โ€“ Outlook (email) and cloud-based suite of productivity application like MS Teams
  • Bluebeam โ€“ for PDF markup and collaboration tool
  • Docusign โ€“ Electronic signature and agreement
  • Zoom โ€“ online video communication
