Job description

Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as an ELD Paraeducator through our partnership with Kennett Consolidated School District (KCSD)!
SUMMARY:
The English Language Development (ELD) Paraeducator enhances the ELD program by supporting and working with students and school staff to perform all duties with accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. The ELD Paraeducator will coordinate with the ELD supervisor and content area teachers in the delivery of English language and content instruction. This position supports ELL students in the acculturation process and assists with translation and interpretation materials. *Bilingual English/Spanish - preferred
** All needs are currently met for the KCSD ELD Paraeducator position but needs can change and you are welcome to submit an application for consideration of future openings.
NOW OFFERING PAID CREDENTIALS - Eliminating upfront costs for necessary clearances & TB screening!
  • The hourly ELD Paraeducator pay rate is $19 per hour with 21 hours of paid time off (PTO) -prorated based on start date

SCHOOL HOURS:
  • Kennett Middle School: Monday through Friday from 7:10am-2:40pm
  • Kennett High School: Monday through Friday from 7:15 am-2:45pm
  • KCSD Elementary Schools: Monday through Friday 8:15 am - 3:45 pm

Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • Two-years of post-secondary education (48 credits) or an Associates degree preferred. Minimum High School Diploma required.
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
  • Bilingual speaking skills in Spanish / English - preferred
  • Must have the ability to relate effectively with students, staff and public

CREDENTIALING :
(Clearances current within 12 months)
  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI - Use code 1KG6XN
  • TB Screening - current within 3 months
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
