Role Overview: Drive the quality and intelligence behind advanced conversational AI systems by shaping the language data that powers them. This role directly influences how customers and agents interact with AI across global platforms, improving accuracy, usability, and real world impact at scale. You will work at the intersection of linguistics, data, and machine learning to elevate the performance of speech and natural language systems.

Within the Language Engineering team, you will contribute to the development and evaluation of core AI capabilities across speech recognition and natural language processing. At Genesys, we are transforming customer and agent experiences through empathetic, AI driven innovation that reaches enterprises worldwide. Your work will directly support technologies such as chatbots, voicebots, knowledge systems, and agent assist tools including summarization.

You will own the integrity and quality of annotated datasets, influence how models learn from language, and collaborate closely with research teams to refine outputs and reduce errors. This is a highly detail oriented role with meaningful ownership, where your insights will shape product performance and customer outcomes.

This position offers strong exposure to cutting edge AI systems, multilingual data challenges, and enterprise scale applications. You will gain hands on experience with evolving NLP technologies while contributing to innovations that improve how businesses engage with customers globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Annotate and classify complex language data with high precision to improve model accuracy and performance
  • Analyze linguistic patterns and identify errors to enhance data quality and reduce model inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with research teams to resolve ambiguities and refine annotation guidelines for scalable impact
  • Design and execute quality checks that strengthen dataset reliability and consistency across languages
  • Support the development of training and evaluation datasets that improve conversational AI outcomes
  • Test conversational AI features manually to validate real world performance and user experience
  • Identify opportunities to optimize annotation workflows and improve efficiency at scale
  • Contribute insights that influence product improvements across chatbots, voicebots, and agent assist systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Native or near native proficiency in Korean and English
  • 1 or more years of experience in language data annotation, analysis, or related fields
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across repetitive and complex tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new linguistic guidelines quickly
  • Proficiency with productivity tools and text editing software
  • Foundational understanding of linguistics, language structure, or related disciplines
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in linguistics, modern languages, or a related field
  • Experience with annotation tools or NLP data platforms
  • Familiarity with conversational AI systems, including chatbots or voice interfaces
  • Interest in natural language processing, machine learning, or AI driven products
