This is a Temporary Full-Time position with 75 hours biweekly. 

End Date: October 31, 2026

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed team member, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Resident Attendant, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

What makes you a great fit?

  • Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service
  • Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignments
  • Transports residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required
  • Completes laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments
  • Deals tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the team leader
  • Practices safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service
  • Performing other duties as assigned

What you need to know:

  • Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role
  • Certification in Personal Support Worker or Personal Care Worker, or a 16 hour course that covers the provision of personal care and that is recognized by the department. If you don't have this, you must be willing to complete this course within 3 months of start date
  • Current First Aid/CPR training
  • Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
  • You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
