Job description

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an Operational Language Analyst 4 to support operations in Hanover, Maryland.
The Operational Language Analyst will perform tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations.
Primary Location: Fort Meade, Maryland
Secondary Locations: Wahiawa, HI; Denver, CO
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Poly
Desired Languages:
  • Chinese-Mandarin
  • Spanish

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 15 years of full-time experience
  • Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) skill level 3 in audio translation and text translation from the required language into idiomatic, standard American English or 3 in listening and reading on the DLPT
  • 15 years in crypto language processing, related language, and/or crypto experience
    • Related Language Experience: (In target language) oral translations, non-crypto audio/graphic translations, doc exploitation, formal teaching
    • Crypto Experience: target development, network analysis, drafting intel reports, speaker/language identification
  • 8 of the 15 years in crypto language processing must include QC'ing and mentoring
  • 8 of the 15 years has to be in the required language(s)
  • IF CANDIDATE HAS WORKED WITH MULTIPLE LANGUAGES
    • 6 of the 8 years has to be in performing crypto language processing
    • 5 of the 8 years has to be in simply translating, transcribing, and gisting
  • 3 years of experience QC'ing BOTH Audio and Graphic at ILR level 3 in target language
  • No more than 7 of the 15 years in reporting as primary duty
  • 1 of the 8 years in target language has to be within 6 years of resume submission

Education and Experience:
Mid/Senior positions require a bachelor's degree or an additional four years of experience.
(Pay ranges are required for Maryland, Colorado and Hawaii)
Pay Range: $230,000 to $255,000 full Salary range lowest to highest across locations
