Job description

The City of O'Fallon, MO is looking to hire a knowledgeable and dependable Seasonal Landscape Worker - Level II. Are you looking for a position where you'll be working each day in the beautiful city grounds of O'Fallon? Our Seasonal Landscape Workers-Level II earn competitive pay of $18.85 hourly. The expected starting salary for this position is $18.85.

As part of our Parks Department, you will be responsible for assisting in the beautification and maintenance of City streets, parks and City facilities as directed by Landscape Division staff. Generally, your schedule will be Monday Friday from 7 am to 3:30. This position is not just a summer position, and hours are available approximately nine months out of the year.

As a Seasonal Landscape Worker - Level II, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Regularly mowing municipal properties on a set weekly schedule
  • Assisting with responsibilities associated with Landscaping, which may include mulching, planting, mower and cleaning up shrubs and litter

We're looking for someone who is comfortable operating motorized equipment such as pick up trucks, zero turn mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and have the ability to safely tow a 20' trailer through traffic. This person should be someone with previous mowing experience and who can be relied upon to coordinate and supervise a small crew.

  • Have the ability to work Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
