Description:Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Irrigation Technician / Irrigation Technician-in-Training to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in commercial landscape irrigation. You will work alongside experienced Irrigation Technicians to learn the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial irrigation systems while developing the skills needed to advance within the company.

No extensive irrigation experience is required. We are looking for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.


Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial irrigation systems.
  • Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation system issues, including valves, controllers, wiring, and sprinkler heads.
  • Assist with locating and repairing leaks, broken pipes, and damaged components.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure systems are operating efficiently.
  • Help adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions and landscape needs.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, tools, and job sites.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
  • Participate in hands-on training and demonstrate a commitment to learning the trade.
Qualifications
  • Previous landscaping, irrigation, construction, or outdoor labor experience is preferred but not required.
  • Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, an irrigation, landscape, horticulture, agriculture, construction, or related technical training or certification program is highly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
  • Dependable, punctual, and team oriented.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision after training.
  • A valid driver's license is highly preferred.
