Job description

At Sunrise Landscape, we've earned our spot on the Lawn & Landscape Top 100 list by prioritizing quality and our people. With over 1,000 employees across Florida, we are expanding our Landscape Construction (Install) division. We are looking for hardworking individuals who don't just "mow and blow," but who want to build the foundations of beautiful outdoor spaces.

Your role will involve the heavy lifting of landscape transformations-installing hardscapes, planting large-scale greenery, and ensuring our materials get to the site safely.

THIS ROLE IS BASED IN TAMPA, FL

As a Landscape Construction Crew Member and Driver, you will be the backbone of our installation projects. You will:

  • Execute Installations: Install sod, shrubs, trees, and flowers. Assist with hardscape elements like pavers, retaining walls, and irrigation systems.
  • Safe Vehicle Operation: Drive company trucks (often with trailers) to transport equipment, debris, and materials to and from job sites.
  • Heavy Equipment Prep: Utilize power tools and heavy machinery such as skid steers, trenchers, and chainsaws safely and effectively.
  • Site Preparation: Grade soil, dig trenches, and clear land to prepare for new layouts.
  • Material Management: Load and unload heavy materials (rocks, mulch, pallets of sod) and ensure the job site remains organized and safe.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the high standards Sunrise is known for, ensuring every plant is level and every stone is set right.
What You Bring to the Table
  • The ideal candidate is a "pro" in the field who enjoys seeing a project through from dirt to completion.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of recent experience in landscape construction, hardscaping, or general construction experience.
  • Driving Record: A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required for this role. Experience pulling a trailer is a major plus.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly, in the Florida heat.
  • Age & Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Reliability: A "team-first" attitude with a track record of showing up on time and ready to work.
What we offer:

We want Sunrise to be the last place you ever have to apply. We offer a clear path for career growth and a competitive package:

  • Pay: $16-$18 per hour (depending on experience and driving qualifications).
  • Time Off: Paid Vacation and Sick Time.
  • Future Security: 401k Savings Plan with Employer Match.
  • Health: Comprehensive Health and Wellness Benefits.
  • Perks: Paid Holidays and an Employee Referral Bonus Program.

Compensation for this role will be market competitive and will be reviewed in the pre-screen questionnaire.

Sunrise is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
