Job description

Juniper is Growing! We are seeking a Lead Mechanic to join our team. This position will be responsible for performing service and repairs on our truck fleet (including diesel engines), heavy equipment, small engine equipment, and 2-cycle engines for our landscape operations team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repair of trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment correctly, safely, and efficiently
  • Accurately document all work performed to each unit electronically
  • Utilize computer software for record keeping
  • Order and maintain inventory of all shop supplies/equipment
  • Clean repaired items prior to returning for crew use
  • Keep work area and shop common areas clean and organized
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Requirements:

  • Truck mechanic (including Diesel) experience required
  • 2-cycle engine repair/maintenance experience required
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications including MS Office
  • Valid driver's license and ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Report review required
  • Ability to read and write the English language.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
  • Ability to work in fast pace environment.
  • Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
  • Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
  • Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
