Job Summary (List Format) – Landscape Designer/Architect (Batavia, OH)
- Conduct site visits to gather measurements, observe site conditions, and document relevant details.
- Evaluate surveys, grade changes, access points, easements, and other physical constraints affecting design.
- Develop landscape concepts, layout plans, planting designs, and hardscape solutions for residential and commercial spaces.
- Prepare design presentations, renderings, and technical plan sets using appropriate design and drafting software.
- Incorporate practical considerations such as drainage, grading, code requirements, and site functionality into designs.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align design intent with estimating, scheduling, and construction needs.
- Prepare organized and accurate design documents to support project planning and facilitate handoff to production.
- Participate in design discussions and revisions to improve project clarity, constructability, and quality.
- Meet with clients to understand their design goals, priorities, and overall vision for the space.
- Utilize strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Apply knowledge of grading, drainage, hardscape features, plant layouts, and outdoor living design principles.
- Use design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Land F/X, Rhino, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Preferred qualifications: Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field, prior landscape design/build experience, landscape architecture licensure (a plus).
