Job description

As a Golf Lawncare Specialist, you will support landscape maintenance services within our Golf Division. This role focuses on maintaining the landscaped areas surrounding golf course features with a team of 2-5 employees-including clubhouses, common areas, perimeters, and non-play turf-to ensure a clean, professional, and well-manicured appearance. The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in quality results, and understands the importance of presentation in a golf environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and blowing
  • Maintain landscaped areas such as clubhouses, cart paths, entrances, common areas, and perimeter turf
  • Assist with planting, mulching, bed maintenance, seasonal cleanups, and shrub care
  • Safely operate landscape maintenance equipment such as mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and utility vehicles
  • Monitor landscape health and report issues such as plant stress, pests, irrigation problems, or damage
  • Assist with irrigation checks and minor adjustments as needed
  • Support special projects, course events, and tournament preparation as assigned
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company policies
  • Work collaboratively with crew leaders, golf maintenance staff, and operations teams
  • Properly weeding client sites by hand or by utilizing landscape equipment.
  • Planting, grooming and maintaining plant material.
  • Performing site cleanup duties which includes but is not limited to clearing and disposing of trash and organic material
  • Maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with internal and external clients.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, or groundskeeping
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping practices, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required in golf operations
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Holds or can obtain a round-up permit upon hire
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Experience working in golf course environments, resorts, or high-end commercial properties
  • Knowledge of ornamental plants, shrubs, and basic horticultural maintenance
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems and landscape water management
  • Experience with seasonal planting and landscape enhancement projects
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
  • Strong pride in appearance, consistency, and quality of work
  • Interest in advancing into crew leader, enhancement, or golf landscape management roles
  • Valid Florida Driver's License and the ability to pass an MVR check
