Job description

About Lotus

Lotus Gardenscapes is an award-winning, employee-owned (ESOP) landscape design-build

firm serving the greater Ann Arbor area for over 25 years.

We are a 63-person team made up of designers, project managers, foremen, field crews,

mechanics, and support staff. Our work is seasonal, fast-paced, weather-dependent, and

physically demanding. Our culture is hands-on, team-oriented, high-accountability, and proudly

blue-collar meets highly professional.

We are looking for a sales/design professional who can blend creative landscape design with

disciplined sales execution and strong project handoff to production.

The Opportunity

This is a full-cycle sales and design role for residential and light commercial landscape, tree,

and maintenance projects. In this role, you will:

Own the sales process from initial lead qualification through signed proposal and handoff to

production.

• Design and sell landscape, tree, and maintenance projects that meet Lotus standards for

safety, quality, and profitability.

• Manage daily sales activity: reviewing schedules, conducting site visits, updating leads

and opportunities, and scheduling proposal/closing meetings.

• Maintain and grow relationships with past clients while partnering with marketing to

generate new opportunities.

• Work closely with Project Managers and field crews to ensure designs and work

directions are clear, buildable, and aligned with resource and timing constraints.

• This role sits in the Sales/Design career path (Sales/Design Support I → Sales/Designer

II → Sales/Designer III) and is ideal for someone who enjoys both meeting with clients

and creating field-ready designs.

You will be the primary point of contact for customers on landscape, tree, and maintenance

projects — from initial inquiry and site visit through approved design, signed proposal, and

handoff to production. This role combines creative landscape design with full-cycle sales; you’ll

focus on developing buildable designs, setting clear expectations, and coordinating closely with

project managers and crews to deliver high-quality, profitable projects.

Company Description

At Lotus Gardenscapes, we don't just install landscapes—we create outdoor experiences that inspire, connect, and transform.
This is not your average horticulture position.
