We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Project Coordinator who is passionate about the landscape industry, enjoys working outdoors, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong horticultural knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to support multiple crews while ensuring projects stay on schedule.

Position Summary

The Project Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting daily field operations and project success. This position is approximately 80% field-based and 20% office-based, serving as the bridge between the operations team, field crews, vendors, and clients.

The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about plants, landscape enhancements, and construction processes while being comfortable handling logistics, procurement, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

· Field Operations (80%)

· Ensure field crews have the materials, equipment, tools and training needed to complete daily tasks safely and efficiently.

· Maintain healthy relationships through exemplifying Sunline’s Core Values in all interactions with customers, vendors and Coworkers.

· Coordinate and execute procurement and delivery of plants, hardscape materials, and equipment to job sites daily.

· Safely couple and uncouple trucks and trailers, secure and inspect loads for safe hauling

· Safely load and unload equipment, materials, and tools.

· Visit multiple job sites throughout the day to support crews and monitor project progress.

  • Conduct regularly scheduled quality assurance site visits after enhancements are completed.  
  • Assist with inventory management, equipment maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Work closely with project managers and field supervisors to resolve issues quickly.
  • Help maintain quality standards and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Administrative & Office Responsibilities (20%)

  • Pull reports and assist with project tracking.
  • Coordinate warranties and warranty-related follow-up.
  • Assist with scheduling crews, deliveries, and subcontractors.
  • Support logistics and daily operations planning.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and clients regarding project needs.
  • Assist with purchasing and procurement processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in landscaping, construction, horticulture, or a related industry.
  • Experience or the ability and confidence to become proficient in the safe operation of heavy equipment (owned and or rented).
  • Strong understanding of landscape construction practices, plant material, and outdoor living projects.
  • Ability to safely lift, load, and transport equipment and materials.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Horticulture, Landscape Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with procurement, operations coordination, or project support.
  • Knowledge of plant identification, installation, and landscape enhancements.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Ability to generate reports and maintain accurate project records.
  • Strong organizational and logistical planning skills.

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
