Summary Description
As a Landscape Designer Sales Representative, your role will be pivotal in transforming outdoor spaces into stunning and functional environments. You will have the unique opportunity to showcase your expertise in both landscape design and sales, working closely with clients to understand their needs, envision creative solutions, and ultimately close deals for your projects. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our Project Managers to ensure a seamless handover once projects are sold, ensuring a smooth and successful project start. Your passion for design will shine as you develop captivating proposals, present compelling design concepts, and guide clients through the sales process. With your keen eye for aesthetics, strong communication skills, and business acumen, you will play a crucial role in bringing exceptional landscapes to life while achieving sales targets and fostering long-lasting client relationships. In this role, the Landscape Architect will have the opportunity to earn additional commissions by overseeing projects from design to successful sale, leveraging their creative expertise and sales acumen.
Specific Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all duties listed and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
  • Attend all assigned design consultations and work with potential customers to understand their vision and goals for the project
  • Inspect the site, review customer ideas and design alternatives, discuss budget considerations, and define design objectives
  • Develop proposed designs using AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Photoshop, and Lumion to create marketable designs and scale drawings
  • Create price estimates for potential customers through QuickBooks and review design and cost estimates with customers
  • Modify plans as appropriate to meet customer desires and finalize sales agreements
  • Assist customer with Homeowner's Association approval
  • Work with city/county permit offices to approve design plans for installation
  • Meet with Project Managers to review designs on projects for installation
  • Visit sites to review installation progress or assist in laying out if necessary
  • Make follow-up contacts with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain reference files, assist other designers with problems as requested
  • Work with customers to complete the Customer Agreement by having the customer sign the agreement and collecting the deposit/payment
