Join the team at David J. Frank Landscape Contracting, one of the country's leading green industry companies with a reputation built since 1959. We are currently seeking full-time Landscape Specialty, Renovation, Herbicide & Fertilizer (H/F) and Mowing Technicians for our Landscape Maintenance Department (LMD) through our Germantown branch location. These roles offer the opportunity for personal and professional growth, collaboration with industry experts, and the chance to work on hands-on, outdoor projects. We value sustainability, creativity, and the use of new technology in our work. This is full-time, year-round employment. During the winter we do snow removal, formal training, and complete maintenance projects.

Qualifications
  • LMD Technicians need a minimum of six months or more of landscape experience in the field ensuring client satisfaction with quality outcomes in accordance with our production standards.
  • Willingness to learn and improve processes.
  • Commitment to safety.
  • Strong plant identification skills (annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs) preferred.
  • Wisconsin Pesticide Applicators License (Category 3.0) desired.
  • Two or four-year degree from an accredited college/university in Horticulture or related field is preferred.
  • Bilingual - proficient/fluent in Spanish is a plus.
  • Possess and maintain valid non-probationary driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) is required.
  • Able to successfully complete a preplacement physical (to include lifting 50 pounds) and drug screen.
Responsibilities
  • Mowing Crew Technicians maintain lawns through mowing and trimming.
  • Specialty Crew Technicians deliver spring/fall clean-up services, including perennial care and removal of winter protection.
  • Renovation Crew Technicians install new landscapes and landscape renovations such as drainage systems, nightscape systems, seed and sod, retaining walls, and pavers.
  • Herbicide and Fertilizer Technicians successfully treat lawns on an assigned route with broadleaf, selective and non-selective herbicides including spot treatments.
  • Shape and prune shrubs, bushes, and trees
  • Perform seeding, sodding, and hydro-mulching tasks
  • Conduct spring and fall cleanups
  • Remove snow and ice (for hourly snow bonus)
