What is landscape construction?

A Landscape Construction job involves building and installing outdoor spaces, such as gardens, patios, walkways, retaining walls, and irrigation systems. Workers in this field use a combination of hardscaping (stone, wood, or concrete structures) and softscaping (plants, trees, and turf) to create functional and aesthetically pleasing landscapes. They may work for landscaping companies, contractors, or as independent professionals. The job requires physical labor, knowledge of construction techniques, and an understanding of site preparation and drainage.

What are the typical daily responsibilities in landscape construction?

Team coordination is key, as crews often collaborate closely to complete projects on time. You may also need to interact with clients or project managers to address questions and handle any on-site changes or challenges. The role can be physically demanding but offers the satisfaction of transforming outdoor spaces from concept to reality.
