Job Title:  Landscaper/Groundcrew Member
Reports To:  Head Groundskeeper
FLSA Status:  Non-ExemptPosition SummaryThe Groundskeeper Assistant supports the Groundskeeping team in maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of all outdoor areas. This role assists with landscaping, routine maintenance, and seasonal projects to ensure the property remains clean, attractive, and well-kept at all times.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and leaf removal
  • Help maintain landscaped areas, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and turf
  • Perform basic landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, weeding, and watering
  • Assist with irrigation system checks and minor repairs
  • Collect and dispose of trash and debris from outdoor areas
  • Help maintain sidewalks, parking areas, fences, and outdoor fixtures
  • Support seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salting, or storm cleanup as needed
  • Operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment safely
  • Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or maintenance concerns
  • Complete other duties or special projects as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to operate basic landscaping equipment or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and manual labor for extended periods
Work Environment
