At Focal Pointe, our Landscape Health & Water Specialists are the experts who keep commercial landscapes healthy, vibrant, and sustainable. You'll combine horticultural knowledge with hands-on field experience to diagnose plant health issues, manage irrigation systems, and make recommendations that improve the long-term success of our customers' properties.

No two days are the same. You'll spend your time in the field, working alongside experienced professionals while developing skills that can lead to leadership opportunities across our company.

This is an entry-level position designed for recent college graduates who want to build a long-term career in the commercial landscape industry.

You'll receive hands-on training while developing expertise in plant health, irrigation management, customer communication, and commercial landscape operations.

What You'll Do

As a Landscape Health & Water Specialist, you'll serve as the plant health expert for a portfolio of commercial properties.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct landscape and irrigation audits to evaluate overall plant health and landscape appearance.
  • Monitor irrigation systems and adjust watering schedules based on plant needs, weather conditions, and seasonal changes.
  • Identify insects, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, irrigation concerns, and environmental stress affecting trees, shrubs, turf, and ornamental plants.
  • Recommend solutions that improve plant health, irrigation efficiency, and long-term landscape performance.
  • Support the successful establishment of newly installed landscapes through proactive monitoring and care.
  • Communicate recommendations with Account Managers and Repair Technicians to coordinate repairs, enhancements, and customer proposals.
  • Utilize Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles to proactively manage plant health.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer properties through enhancements and landscape improvements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
