Job description

Experience is required, must be able to pass a welding test. Will weld a variety of steel types and thicknesses. Some aluminum is included. Primary welding process is GMAW (MIG) using semi-automatic and robotic welding equipment. Some GTAW (TIG) is performed. Must be able to set-up and operate welding equipment, including control of gas flow rates, amperage and voltage settings. Complete simple maintenance of the welding equipment by replacing normal consumables and welding gun/lead. Load and operate weld fixtures, able to read tape measure, understand weld symbols, complete simple shop math, use plasma cutting equipment, use air-arc gouging and oxy-fuel cutting equipment. Wage based on weld test results and experience. Must be able to lift 60 pounds. Attendance is considered important; must be willing to work overtime and be at work each scheduled workday. An additional 4% pay is available for employees who work their required weekly hours. $2.00 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift.
