What is a Landoll job?

A Landoll job typically involves operating a specialized type of trailer designed for transporting heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads. These trailers have a hydraulic system that allows the deck to tilt for easier loading and unloading. Drivers or operators of Landoll trailers need experience in handling large cargo, securing loads properly, and following transportation regulations. Many Landoll jobs require a commercial driver's license (CDL) and experience with heavy haul trucking.

What are some common challenges faced by Landoll operators on the job?

Landoll operators often work with oversized or unusually shaped loads, which can make safe loading, securing, and transport more complex compared to standard freight. They must frequently adapt to changing schedules, weather conditions, and road environments while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Coordination with dispatchers, clients, and site personnel is key to ensuring timely deliveries and managing unexpected issues such as load shifts or equipment malfunctions. This role requires a high level of vigilance, flexibility, and problem-solving to ensure both the operator's safety and the integrity of the loads being hauled.
