Job description

Security Officer - Religious Landmark

As a Security Officer - Religious Landmark, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will support a welcoming, professional environment at a prominent community location by monitoring access points, screening visitors and belongings, and responding to security-related concerns. You will remain attentive and visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Mon 06:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Tue 06:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Wed 06:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Thur 06:30 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen visitors and their belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures; communicate entry requirements and direct individuals to appropriate access points.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity to help identify and report suspicious, prohibited, or unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
