Business Development Manager

Manufactured Home & Mobile Home Lending

Company: MobileHomeLoans.com

Job type: Full-time

Work arrangement: Field-based/remote within assigned markets; regular travel required

Starting pay: $60,000 annual base salary plus eligible 10% commission

About MobileHomeLoans.com

MobileHomeLoans.com specializes in financing manufactured and mobile homes, including homes located in manufactured-home communities and homes involving land. We work with established manufactured-housing lenders and industry partners to help qualified borrowers navigate specialized financing options.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced manufactured-housing lending professional to build new business relationships and lead a growing team of loan officers. This is a hands-on sales and production role for someone who understands both park-based chattel lending and manufactured-home financing involving land. The manager will develop dealer, community and referral relationships; recruit and train loan officers; and turn new opportunities into consistent funded-loan volume.

What You Will Do

·   Develop new business. Build productive relationships with manufactured-home dealers and retailers, community operators, real estate professionals, builders, developers and other approved referral sources.

·   Generate funded volume. Create and execute a territory plan, conduct regular prospecting and field visits, present MHL's lending capabilities, and convert new accounts into applications, approvals, closings and repeat production.

·   Recruit and lead loan officers. Identify, interview, onboard, train, coach and manage properly licensed loan officers assigned to the new relationships and territories you develop.

·   Manage lender execution. Ensure the team follows the submission, documentation, communication and processing requirements of 21st Mortgage, Triad Financial Services and other approved MHL lenders.

·   Maintain a disciplined pipeline. Document prospects, referral relationships, leads, applications and follow-up in the company Google Sheet or any future CRM system designated by MHL; maintain accurate forecasts and provide a concise weekly production report.

·   Protect service and compliance. Coordinate outreach with leadership, protect existing relationships and confidential information, and ensure the team operates within lender, company, licensing and compliance requirements.

Required Experience and Qualifications

·   An active NMLS license in good standing is required and must be maintained throughout employment.

·   At least two years of direct experience with mobile-home loans for homes located in manufactured-home parks, including chattel-loan transactions.

·   At least two years of direct experience with manufactured-home loans involving land, including land-home or real-property transactions.

·   Demonstrated success in manufactured housing, mortgage lending, consumer finance, dealer development or closely related relationship-driven sales.

·   Experience recruiting, training, coaching and holding a geographically dispersed sales team accountable.

·   Strong communication, organization, follow-through, pipeline-management and relationship-development skills.

·   Comfort using Google Sheets and CRM, communication and reporting systems.

·   Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout assigned markets.

·   Any additional license required for the activities performed; you must remain within approved licensing and compliance boundaries at all times.

Performance Expectations

·   Build toward at least $1 million in new monthly funded volume, with the ability to scale production toward $3 million to $5 million per month as the relationship base and loan-officer team mature.

·   Create measurable growth in active referral accounts, applications, approvals, funded loans and gross lender-paid commission.

·   Within the first 90 days, complete lender and systems onboarding, submit a territory and recruiting plan, establish qualified new opportunities, begin building the assigned loan-officer team and provide a supported production forecast.

Compensation

·   $60,000 annual starting base salary ($5,000 per month).

·   10% of eligible gross lender-paid commissions received by MHL from qualifying new business relationships personally developed by the manager and eligible production generated through the assigned loan-officer team.

·   Commission is earned only after the loan closes, funds, MHL receives the lender commission, and attribution requirements are satisfied.

·   Existing MHL accounts, house business and pre-existing production are excluded unless specifically assigned in writing. Final eligibility, attribution and chargeback terms are governed by the executed compensation agreement.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume and a short summary describing your manufactured-home lending experience, including your work with park-based chattel loans, land-home or real-property loans, dealer or referral development, and loan-officer team leadership.

Equal Opportunity

MobileHomeLoans.com provides equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees without regard to any status protected by applicable law. Employment is subject to verification of qualifications, licensing requirements and completion of the company's hiring process.
