Job description

Training & Operations Development Coordinator

South Florida Caterpillar dealer seeking a Training and Operations Development Coordinator to support our Rental Department. This role will focus on creating and implementing training programs for rental operations, improving workflows, and ensuring our team delivers exceptional service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and deliver training programs for Rental Coordinators, Influencers, and Inspectors on rental equipment handling, operation, safety, and rental processes.

· Standardize operational procedures for equipment rental, including check-in/check-out, maintenance scheduling, and customer service protocols.

· Collaborate with department managers to identify skill gaps and create targeted training solutions.

· Maintain accurate training documentation, including equipment manuals and compliance guidelines.

· Monitor operational performance and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

· Ensure adherence to Caterpillar standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

· Support onboarding of new employees and continuous learning for existing staff.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 3+ years of experience in equipment rental operations, training, or process improvement.

· Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment and rental industry best practices.

· Strong communication and presentation skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Microsoft D365 is a plus

· Ability to analyze operational data and implement improvements.

Preferred Skills

· Knowledge of heavy equipment safety standards.

· Lean Six Sigma or process improvement certification is a plus.
