Job Title: Land Development Engineer/ Project Manager Location: Chantilly, VA

Overview As a Land Development Engineer or Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering impactful site and infrastructure projects that shape communities across both public and private sectors. You’ll work alongside a diverse team of engineers, planners, landscape architects, and designers to bring complex projects to life—ranging from mixed-use developments and data centers to federal facilities and community infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design and execution of land development projects from concept through completion
  • Develop site plans, grading, stormwater management systems, and infrastructure designs
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring quality and client satisfaction (Project Manager level)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, innovative design solutions
  • Coordinate with public agencies, private clients, and regulatory bodies
  • Contribute to proposal development, client presentations, and strategic initiatives
  • Mentor junior staff and support team development (Project Manager level)
  • Work on a wide range of high-impact projects, including mixed-use developments, federal facilities, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
Requirements
  • 6–10 years of civil engineering experience for Land Development Engineer
  • 8–15 years of civil engineering experience with project leadership responsibilities for Project Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience in land development design, including site planning, stormwater management, and infrastructure
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong understanding of public and private sector project requirements
  • EIT or PE certification preferred
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset
