Job description

Weโ€™re looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Land Development team at our Wichita location (in office). This individual will assist with the design of a variety of projects that may include residential and commercial developments, schools, churches, hospitals, living centers, parks, athletic facilities, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the project manager in all aspects of design for land development and municipal-related projects, including site planning, grading, paving, water, and drainage.
  • Prepare required calculations and reports.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of plans for grading, paving, drainage, and utilities with production staff.
  • Prepare specifications and bid packages.
  • Attend client meetings to ensure the design meets their needs and objectives.
  • Work with governing agencies to gain approval of plans and development documents.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in land development and/or municipal engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • PE license in Kansas is preferred (or the ability to obtain said license in a timely manner).
  • Knowledge of local standards and requirements is also preferred.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately.
