AWT has the following position open in our South Elgin, IL location:
The schedule for this position has multiple shifts available. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements.
Requirements
Safe and efficient operation of wide web laminator.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities (Note, activities that occupy approx. 80% of time):
  • Checks and follows daily laminating schedule;
  • Ensures all lamination requirements are understood before starting a job;
  • Ensures that correct adhesive and ratio are being applied at all times
  • Ensures that all paperwork regarding glue weights, and machine settings are recorded
  • Verifies roll identification before lamination
  • Ensures laminated product meets lamination spec. requirements;
  • Ensures rolls are clean and wound to proper tension;
  • Ensures laminated rolls are properly identified and stored in racks for transfer to the cure area for entry into inventory or to the job staging area;
  • Waste is accurately measured and recorded, if needed.
  • Employee is responsible for understanding and complying to the Food Safety Procedures and Policies that have been implemented in their job area or job function

Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities (Occupies balance of time)
  • Basic PM is performed and documented as needed;
  • Ensures work area is clean, waste removed, floor swept; necessary tools and supplies are maintained in an orderly manner.
  • Participates in quality and continuous improvement.

Physical Job Demands:
  • Able to be on feet for long periods of time; able to lift 50 lbs. or more without restrictions; this position requires a lot of twisting and bending.

Skills/Abilities to Meet Job Requirements:
  • Ability to operate and run a wide-web laminator, must read, write and speak English; must be able to read a ruler; must be self-motivated and have ability to work with others and independently; demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work with minimal direction; safety conscious;

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED; One or more years experience preferred.
