Mountain Lake Lodge is seeking experienced kitchen workers (prep cooks, line cooks, cold side and desserts). Do you have experience working in a commercial kitchen? Job Summary:

The Line Cook at Mountain Lake Lodge is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven kitchen. This role supports the lodge’s dining operations by ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, and adherence to recipes, while contributing to a positive guest experience in a scenic resort setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to lodge recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock assigned kitchen stations (grill, sauté, prep, etc.)
  • Ensure timely and accurate food preparation during breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines
  • Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning
  • Monitor food quality and report any issues to kitchen leadership
  • Help with inventory control and proper storage of ingredients
  • Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
  • Comply with all nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

  • Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred (resort or restaurant experience a plus)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food safety standards
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary training or certification (a plus, not required)
  • Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Experience in hospitality, resort, or high-volume kitchens
