Job description

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) has immediate openings for qualified journey-level line workers. At LADWP, you’ll make a difference by providing the power supply that runs industry, commerce, and households throughout the City of Los Angeles. Electric Distribution Mechanic (3879), EDM

Wages Hourly: $96.90*; Annual $202,327.20*

Overtime opportunities currently available

Description:

Journey-level line workers proficient in the construction, maintenance, and repair of energized overhead electric sub transmission and distribution lines or equipment.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a certified International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) apprenticeship program and possession of a valid (current) journey-level line worker card issued by IBEW
  • New hires with a valid out-of-state commercial driver’s license will have to obtain a California commercial driver’s license upon accepting the position
