Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician C

Job Schedule: 3rd Shift

Job Description:

In this role, individuals may be responsible for conducting tests on a variety of RF or digital printed circuit boards, subassemblies, or end products.  This person will contribute to the company's success by controlling and monitoring units, boards and modules in troubleshoot and those progressing normally through the test process. Help Train Techs to troubleshoot to component level. Ensures techs make required entries in quality module and controls boards going to other factories for test and troubleshoot.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure test stations are running at rate.
  • Highlights technical issues to Engineering, Quality and test engineering on issues affecting yield and test throughput.
  • Works with rework expeditor to prevent units in rework aging more than 1 week.
  • Responsible for performing functions associated with manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
  • Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
  • Works with engineers to conduct experiments.
  • Provides training for lower-level technicians on Falcon III products.
  • Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours).

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate's degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Has working knowledge and hands on experience with radio manufacturing (test and diagnostics to include component, board, module and radio level). 
  • Prior exposure to L3Harris products.
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering theory; Associate's degree (technical discipline) is preferred
  • Electronics / RF or Digital Troubleshooting Experience preferred.
  • Experience with L3Harris RFCD products and assembly processes is preferred
  • Able to perform LabVIEW driven automated tests
  • Familiar with basic test equipment, i.e. Signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers
  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams
  • MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Regularly demonstrates a positive attitude

  • Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements
  • Strong communication skills

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state $49,500 - $91,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
