Job Description:

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems
  • Performs engineering RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio systems
  • Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio performance
  • Create test strategies and specifications for new and derivative assemblies
  • Prepare test and diagnostic software, design test fixtures, complete test procedures for new and existing products
  • Develop, debug, optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
  • Document test hardware and software using computer based tools
  • Instruct technicians in the completion of test requirements as described above
  • Ensures production goals & metrics are met from a test perspective

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, and debug software applications for control/automation of test and measurement equipment using NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
  • Support Delivery of new products to our manufacturing facility.
  • Fixture, cable, PCB design for automated manufacturing test fixtures.
  • Positive attitude, openness to new ideas, willingness to learn new tools.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant Electrical Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related Electrical Engineering experience. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in digital, analog, and RF circuitry design/troubleshoot
  • Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters
  • Understanding of software defined radio products and communications
  • Expertise in evaluation of designs for testability; Working knowledge of functional board level testing, unit and system level testing, coverage analysis
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to work successfully with minimal supervision
  • NI LabVIEW/TestStand development experience
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum development process.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $70,500 - $130,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
