Northrop Grumman's Air Dominance Division (ADD) is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Electronics Engineer. This role researches and develops sustainment solutions and/or new technologies to support, replace, and/or retrofit avionics equipment and components. As a senior level engineer supporting Avionics, you are also responsible for the implementation of identified solutions, internal cross-functional coordination, as well as oversight of technical suppliers and supporting engineers to maintain the technical direction of the project.

This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position can be filled at either the Principal Electronics Engineer (Level 3) OR Senior Principal Electronics Engineer (Level 4)

Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, development, integration, and test of a variety of electronic equipment including power generation, communications, flight controls, networks, radar, navigation, weapons systems, etc.
  • Research, design, develop, integrate, and test of a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including RF datalinks, SATCOM and Communications Networks.
  • Maintaining complex RF communications architectures, systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers.
  • Reporting comms status to Engineering Management.
  • Oversee and mentor responsible and lower-level engineers to enhance and achieve technical performance objectives.
  • Maintain awareness over activities across programs for adherence to electronics development standards.
  • Ensure the program is adhering to processes and best practices of products for both internal and external customers and is compliant with policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support technical interchange meetings/program reviews and assist in resolution of technical program engineering challenges.
  • Comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical fields, electrical circuit analysis, and RF signal processing.
  • Experience with RF circuit design, development, and integration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Principal Electronics Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of related engineering experience.
  • Sr Principal Electronics Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 year of related engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with LabView or other data collection and electronic modeling tools
  • Experience in an Agile development environmentction equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.
Primary Level Salary Range: $116,300.00 - $174,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
