Job description

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. Responsibilities * Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems. * Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for onboard ship and submarine research.

* Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software. * Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. * Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software at customer site in West Bethesda, MD.

* Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results. * Some travel (< 5%) required to customer test sites for software system installation, checkout, operation, and troubleshooting. #recruitingsurge Qualifications * Active Secret clearance desired or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

* U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance * B.S.
