Position Overview
This position is responsible for performing a variety of physical labor tasks to assist crews in safely and efficiently completing infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Perform general labor duties related to road construction, grading, excavation, and site preparation.
  • Assist equipment operators, grade crews, and paving crews with daily tasks.
  • Shovel, rake, and spread asphalt, gravel, and other materials as directed.
  • Support pipe crews, utility installation, and drainage work.
  • Clean and prepare job sites, including removing debris and hazards.
  • Set up and take down traffic control devices (cones, signs, barricades).
  • Assist with layout, grading, and measuring tasks as needed.
  • Operate small tools and equipment such as plate compactors, jackhammers, and saws.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and work as part of a crew to meet project timelines.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and MSHA/OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

Education/Experience
