What does a laborer per diem do?

A typical day for a Laborer Per Diem involves assisting with a variety of tasks such as loading and unloading materials, operating basic hand or power tools, cleaning job sites, and supporting skilled tradespeople as needed. Per diem laborers may be assigned to different teams or locations depending on the project’s requirements, so flexibility and readiness to adapt are important. Most work is outdoors or in industrial environments, often requiring safety gear like hard hats and gloves. The role offers exposure to different types of projects and team structures, which can provide valuable experience and opportunities for advancement into more specialized positions in the future.
