We're looking for a dedicated General Laborer to join our team and support our overall operations at our South Elgin, IL facility. This 'get your hands dirty and help support our operations' position plays a key role in keeping our plant running smoothly through various hands-on tasks and general support.

Requirements

  • Perform general cleaning duties throughout the plant, office spaces, and bathrooms
  • Operate a floor scrubber to maintain clean floors
  • Manage waste, including taking out trash, cleaning garbage bins, and ensuring recycling is handled correctly
  • Maintain stock of essential supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
  • Clean machine tools, remove metal chips, and ensure proper disposal/recycling of scrap materials
  • Operate a lift truck to assist with loading metal barrels or bins onto trucks for recycling
  • Assist with various facility projects, such as erecting pallet racking, organizing shelving, and general maintenance tasks
  • Serve as the "go-to" for any other support tasks as needed to keep the operation running efficiently
  • Ability to safely operate basic machinery and equipment (e.g., floor scrubber, lift truck, bandsaw)
  • Experience with general labor, maintenance 'inside and outside', or similar tasks is a plus
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to lift and handle materials of various sizes and weights
