Field Technician / Laborer (Entry-Level)

Location: Henderson, NV (Las Vegas area)
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: Up to $22/hr


Overview

Insight Global is seeking an entry-level Field Technician to support an industry-leading environmental consulting and contracting firm. This role provides hands-on exposure to environmental gas control systems, including operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M). You’ll work alongside senior technicians while building foundational field and safety experience.


Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of field experience (construction, oil & gas, solar, or similar)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to meet physical requirements and pass Human Performance Evaluation (HPE)
  • Basic computer skills (smartphones, tablets, Microsoft Office: Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120) – preferred (training provided if needed)


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of environmental gas control systems
  • Support daily field activities including Crew Activity Plans (CAPs) and system monitoring
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs under supervision
  • Collect field data and document observations through daily logs and field notes
  • Learn to properly use and calibrate field instruments for environmental data collection
  • Assist in reviewing field data with senior staff to understand system performance
  • Support operational adjustments to system components based on data and direction
  • Utilize tools, equipment, and materials for system maintenance and repairs
  • Assist with removal of landfill liquid pumps and other labor-related duties
