  • Key Responsibilities (Combined Role):
    • Estimation: Learn to perform project "take-offs" from blueprints and calculate labor/material costs.
    • Purchasing: Negotiate with supply houses and manage inventory levels to ensure field teams have what they need.
    • Communication: Act as the bridge between the office, field crews, and vendors.
  • Ideal Qualifications (Entry-Level):
    • Must-Haves: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong math skills, and a "mechanical mind" (ability to visualize how systems fit together).
    • Nice-to-Haves: Prior field experience as a plumber's helper or apprentice is a massive plus.
