Summary:

Loads, unloads, and moves commercial parts, materials within or near warehouse yard, or work site

Essential Duties:

  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain parts, materials or containers to be moved.
  • Loads and unloads parts, materials onto or from pallets, with a forklift or by hand.
  • Develops a loading plan to properly plan parts placement of orders.
  • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • Moves parts and materials by using forklift or hand jack.
  • Counts, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials according to orders.
  • Lifts heavy objects by hand or with a forklift and cleans work area.
  • Assembles crates to contain products such as machines or parts.
  • Operates propane industrial truck or electric forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Fill in for driverโ€™s when needed.
  • Manifesting Retread Tires
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • No prior experience or training;
  • Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening
